About Richard Bubnowski
Since launching the studio in 2004, RBD has designed houses along the coast of New Jersey and as far away as Costa Rica and attracting a clientele from throughout the United States. They are currently working on several new houses and renovations along the shore as well as continually developing new ideas for their Surfers End furniture collection. Most recently RBD was the recipient of the Best of Houzz Award for the fifth year in a row. In 2012 the firm received two Design Excellence Awards from Residential Design+Build Magazine and in 2011 a Watermark Award for the kitchen at New Moon Cottage, an RBD house on New Jersey\'s Long Beach Island. In 2010 they received both a Watermark Award and a QR Master Design Award for a renovation project in Bay Head, New Jersey. In 2008, RBD was the recipient of both the Gold and Best of Show awards from the Qualified Remodeler Master Design Awards for the renovation of another Bay Head, New Jersey beach house. Over the last few years Richard has had the honor of being a juror for both the Builder\'s Choice Design Awards and the Qualified Remodeler Master Design Awards. He has also been a contributing writer for both Qualified Remodeler and Builder magazines. The firm\'s architecture and furniture projects have been featured in several home and design publications including: Coastal Living, Style 1900, Home, Metropolitan Home, Arts and Crafts Homes, Qualified Remodeler, Design New Jersey, Old House Interiors, Builder, Luxury Home Quarterly, Small Kitchen, Design Bureau, Professional Builder, and Lark Books\'\"500 Chairs\". Their drawings and designs have been exhibited at The Shirley Goodman Resource Center at FIT, the Van Alen Institute, and The Michael Ingbar Gallery of Architectural Art.
