About Richard Brown
I am the Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability Manager for the Dura-Line facility in Mountain Grove, Missouri. In this position, I am responsible for all company Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability management programs. I write company safety policies and procedures, develop safety training objectives and programs, conduct safety inspections including facility audits, maintain records related to EHSS, compile reports to outside agencies, manage the worker compensation return to work program, analyze work environments for safety concerns, perform Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and additional duties related to employee health and safety. During my career, I have been directly involved in auditing and verifying adherence to OSHA, MSHA, DOT, Federal, State and company laws, rules, regulations, policies and processes. I have managed Safety and Training programs such as Operator Qualifications, Confined Space, Lock Out Tag Out, Workman’s Compensation, Risk Management, etc. I possess Environmental, Health and Safety knowledge in both the field of manufacturing, gas and electric utilities, and the construction industry. During my time with Ford Motor Company I was certified as a Corporate Health and Safety “Train the Trainer” which greatly enhanced my communication skills when working with others. I feel that I can use my experience and knowledge to understand and address the safety needs and expectations of companies. I have 40+ years in the Environmental Health & Safety field with additional experience in Systems, Applications & Products,(SAP) management and DOT pipeline technical training. I have championed many Environmental Health and Safety programs and processes. My extensive Health and Safety training, experience, high energy, and quick learning style enable me to hit the ground running and rapidly size up problems. Because of my varied experience, I can stay focused in stressful situations, and be counted on when the going gets tough.
