About Richard Borne
Over 30 years combined experience as a Manufacturing / Industrial Engineer. Over my many years of experience I have accumulated knowledge and experience in the Lean and 5S Principles and Practices. I have a working knowledge of developing manufacturing requirements and processes, supporting the production floor, collecting standard data & developing labor standards using Lean and 5S principles. I have an A.A.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology/Manufacturing Engineering from the Houston Community College System. As an engineer I am experienced in the use of AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Project & Excel, Visio and Power Point. I am very adept at evaluating and restructuring process flows and layouts using a combination of visual observations and time study evaluations. I am knowledgeable in the principles and processes of a Lean Manufacturing environment. In summary I have experience in the design, improvement and installation of integrated systems of people, material, information, equipment and energy. I draw upon my knowledge of the principles and methods of engineering process analysis and design to specify, predict and evaluate the results to be obtained from such systems.
