One of my proudest achievements has been launching the Norwich Cargo Bike Library—a dynamic initiative that supported sustainable transport options for local communities. This project involved regular reporting to Defra and working to tight delivery deadlines. I also had the opportunity to present the project at the 2024 National Cargo Bike Summit in London.I led a comprehensive feasibility study on Secure Cycle Parking, analysing datasets such as the Index of Multiple Deprivation, housing typologies, and household car ownership to identify strategic intervention areas. This work is currently under review by senior officers at Norfolk County Council, with the aspiration of launching a pilot scheme.I’ve also undertaken several Active Travel feasibility studies aimed at connecting underserved areas. These involved route assessments, constraints analysis, high-level costings, and the use of Active Travel England\'s Route Check and AMAT tools. Each study culminated in a detailed report offering evidence-based recommendations for future infrastructure development. As part of this process, I completed Equality Impact Assessments (EQIAs) to ensure proposed schemes would be inclusive and equitable—addressing the needs of groups who may be disproportionately affected by accessibility barriers.My ongoing work on the Barrier Improvement project focuses on identifying and addressing non–LTN 1/20 compliant barriers across cycle networks. This is a cross-departmental effort engaging highways engineers, local councils, and underrepresented communities to improve accessibility and inclusivity.
