ABOUT RICHARD ANDERSON

I\'m a Chartered Building Services Design Engineer with over 36 years of experience in the consulting and construction industry.I\'ve worked on a variety of projects in health care, universities, residential, commercial, industrial, oil & gas, retail, entertainment, sporting facilities, transportation, infrastructure, government facilities, refurbishments, fit-outs and historical restoration.My specialized field of expertise is in electrical building services systems (HV/LV Power Distribution; Power Generation and UPS; Lighting and Controls; Fire Detection & Alarm; Building Management & Systems Integration; Security Systems). I also have an excellent knowledge and understanding of Mechanical & Public Health Systems, to be able to manage a multi-disciplined Building Services Team.During my time as an Engineer I\'ve also developed a good understanding of commissioning of all the relevant Building Services Systems. In addition to this I\'ve experienced the operation / maintenance (including the required O&M procedures) to provide practical knowledge to help on the design.Engineering has provided me with a route to various locations around the globe to help further my experience and understand the relationship between difference locally applied standards.I have the ability to lead a team, work within or individually to deliver projects inline with the scope of service from Inception to Handover incorporating all the required elements of the design process (i.e. feasibility, scheme / outline design, detailed design, procurement / tendering, construction / inspections, commissioning / verification, documentation and project feedback).
