Key responsibilities- Configure, maintain, and develop engineering software tools (covering both software and product development tools) in line with company standards- Ensure security and compliance of tools and environments, including export controls and industry standards (e.g, NIST 800-171, Cyber Essentials Plus)- Install, configure, and maintain tools and servers (including VMware-based virtual machines) to support engineering teams- Document tool configurations and processes to maintain business continuity and ensure reproducibility- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to deliver secure, efficient, and well-documented toolsets- Design and implement DevOps environments and select appropriate COTS (commercial off-the-shelf) toolsets- Automate processes with custom scripts (Python, Bash, PowerShell) to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort- Monitor performance and troubleshoot issues across software, hardware, and infrastructure- Transform technical requirements into a DevOps toolchain to support product delivery, including coaching junior colleagues where required.
