ABOUT RICHA KAUL

At Jayshree Periwal International School, I lead a team of dedicated educators, leveraging my M.Tech in Electrical Power Systems to create engaging, inquiry-driven learning experiences. Rooted in IB pedagogy, my teaching approach fosters student agency, critical thinking, and conceptual understanding, ensuring learners connect their knowledge to real-world contexts. As a PYP educator, I design advanced and differentiated math sheets to support diverse learning needs, fostering problem-solving, logical reasoning, and analytical skills. My focus is not just on content mastery but on developing transdisciplinary connections, enabling learners to see mathematics as a tool to explore and make sense of the world. Beyond mathematics, I facilitate Unit of Inquiry (UOI) explorations that encourage students to ask meaningful questions, conduct research, and develop a deeper understanding of global issues. Through concept-based learning, I guide students in constructing knowledge, ensuring their inquiries drive their learning journey. My passion for STEM education is evident in the hands-on investigations, design challenges, and technology-integrated experiences I curate. By embedding engineering, coding, and scientific exploration into lessons, I inspire learners to develop innovative mindsets and future-ready skills. Additionally, I lead Gadget Day activities, providing students with opportunities to explore technology, experiment with real-world applications, and engage in design thinking. These experiences not only enhance collaboration and creativity but also align with IB’s Approaches to Learning (ATLs), strengthening students’ research, communication, and thinking skills. My public speaking skills and proficiency in digital tools allow me to create interactive, tech-enabled learning environments that resonate with diverse learners. I believe in differentiation and student voice, ensuring that each learner finds relevance and personal meaning in their educational journey. As a lifelong learner and reflective practitioner, I continuously seek innovative teaching strategies to enhance engagement, agency, and international-mindedness in the classroom. My commitment lies in nurturing inquiry-driven, empathetic, and resilient individuals who are equipped to thrive in an ever-evolving world.
