Contributing to patient-driven research to advance understanding of debilitating immune disorders and drug discoveryA highly motivated scientist experienced in molecular and cell biology (15 years) and in vitro pharmacology in the fields of inflammation biology, cell/exosome therapeutics, and oncology, I thrive in collaborative environments, sharing knowledge with colleagues and leading by example. In addition to scientific leadership, my expertise extends to project management, NIH RO1 grant writing and review, and research, as well as mentoring junior researchers, and non-PhD-level scientists.Leveraging strengths in designing experiments and research strategies in multidisciplinary research projects, I have developed cellular and biochemical assays for proteomic and transcriptomic biomarker discovery, target validation, and mechanism of action in various inflammation models (lung, cancer, neuropathic pain). My work in inflammation biology also includes exosome biology, exosome engineering and drug delivery Some of my related successes include:• Several publications as primary and co-author• 3 awards at American Thoracic Society meetings• Discovery of novel proteins and miRNA biomarkers associated with lung diseases, cancer and inflammation; use of exosome for cell-to-cell communication and deliver therapeutic drugs in inflammatory disorders (neurodegenerative disorders, lung diseases and inflammatory models).Whether implementing molecular, cell biology and bioanalytical techniques, designing research strategies, learning new techniques or writing scientific publications, I effectively handle multiple projects, meeting timelines and goals in adherence to specifications.
