About Rich Williams
I have enjoyed two careers since graduating from San Jose State: 15 years as an accounting professional and 20years (so far) in the recruiting business placing finance and accounting professionals in the Silicon Valley. I have been a founder of three companies: Applied Motion Products, Management Solutions Inc, and Kula Consulting. I love starting and building businesses and helping other people realize their career and business goals.I\'m looking forward to the last third of my career (never plan to retire) and am curious about the impact on the US accounting profession of the impending merger of US GAAP with international accounting and reporting standards. It seems to me that this change will impact everyone in the profession and will cause more work for accounting organizations than SOX and SEC reporting combined.Specialties: My search practice is focused on senior staff and management positions in both public accounting and \"industry\" that require or prefer accounting professionals who are CPA\'s. This means we place people in revenue accounting and reporting; SEC reporting; audit (both internal and financial): Consolidations & general accounting; Tax and V.P. Controller-level management positions.
