ABOUT RICH VOGEL
Proven banker with over 25 years of executive management experience with both large banks as well as community banks. 10 of those years at the CEO level. Expertise includes business development, workout loans and managing multiple departments and people. Began the senior management part of career with Chase Bank of Arizona which was subsequently acquired by First Interstate Bank which was acquired by Wells Fargo. At Chase Bank of Arizona was instrumental in successfully turning the bank around from a primarily real estate bank to a sound commercial bank. Managed all commercial lending including business banking, asset based lending and treasury management. Following the Wells acquisition of First Interstate Bank went to work for Norwest Bank and was instrumental in building a strong C&I portfolio. Responsible for 43 total team members. After Norwest\'s merger with Wells Fargo went to work for Compass Bank as president of the Phoenix market. Essentially started the operations from scratch. In 9 years grew the bank to rank the top out of 13 Compass major markets in loan growth, deposit growth, and profitability. Total assets reached approximately $1 billion prior to leaving the bank in 2008. In 2009, successfully led the change in control of First National Bank of Scottsdale which became First Scottsdale Bank(FSB). At the time, FSB was the only change of control approved by the OCC in the nation during a very difficult banking environment. FSB had a strong regulatory bank rating as well as management rating from its inception through 2013. Community and professional organizations include: past chairman of Arizona Special Olympics, chairman of Future For Kids(at risk youth mentorship), Treasurer of Homebase Youth Services(homeless teen outreach). Greater Phoenix Leadership, World Presidents\' Organization (WPO), Young Presidents\' Organization (YPO), Phoenix Rotary Club 100, Sherriff\'s Advisory Posse(fallen officers memorial fund), ASU MBA Counsel and National kidney foundation of Arizona. Taught analyzing financial statements at Glendale Community College.
