I\'ve done a lot of public speaking in my life (as a former bishop and as regional PR manager for Intermountain Healthcare), I\'ve been a speechwriter for 35 years for a wide range of local and national business and political leaders (going back to the days when speeches were speeches, not PowerPoints), and I\'ve spoken professionally at conventions of various medical and business groups. I\'m also an experienced writer, a long-time writing teacher, and a published author. My first book,\"Lengthen Your Smile\", is a collection of brief stories (most of them funny) that illustrate gospel principles. It was published by Deseret Book in 1996, was reprinted four times, and sold copies.
