About Rich Holtz

Rich is an Audit Partner currently serving in the Deloitte Pittsburgh practice. He has extensive experience in leading audit engagements for large, multinational SEC registrants. Select practice highlights include audit and assurance services associated with mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, public/private debt and equity offerings, SEC reporting topics, and complex technical accounting matters. Rich also leads the Pittsburgh Accounting and Reporting Advisory (ARA) function which focuses on assisting companies with specific accounting and financial reporting issues, including accounting standards adoption/policy formation, navigating complex M&A transactions, development and/or rationalization of internal control frameworks, ESG, or other specific technical accounting issues. In addition to his client service responsibilities, Rich spent five years working in the Firm’s life sciences industry professional practice network. In that role, Rich authored interpretative guidance on technical accounting issues, developed training materials on emerging topics, and supported Deloitte engagement teams and client management through complex accounting and auditing matters. Rich remains a frequent speaker at both internal events and external conferences and has facilitated various education sessions for Audit Committees and Executive Management across accounting, SEC reporting, internal controls, industry-specific, ESG strategy, and corporate governance topics.
