ABOUT RICH BENNETT

I have over 30 years experience in utility fixed asset accounting and regulatory proceedings. I have been a Company witness in front of the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) on a variety of topics including Book Depreciation, Nuclear Decommissioning and Internal Business Unit Overheads. In my prior positions, I was responsible for the budgeting and reporting for the Information Technology Organizational Unit as the Planning & Performance Reporting Organization\'s IT Finance Principal Manager. I have also been responsible for the regulatory support and capital long term planning for Transmission & Distribution and Cusotmer Service Operating Units and for fixed asset accounting and reporting areas that included Plant Accounting, Book Depreciation Accounting and Reporting and Monthly Allowance for Funds Used During Construction (AFUDC). I am an active board member of the Society of Depreciation Professionals (SDP) and have attained the status of Certified Depreciation Professional (CDP). I also served as the Southern California Edison member on the Edison Electric Institute (EEI)/ American Gas Association (AGA) Property Accounting and Valuation Committee. Specialties: Subject matter expert in the areas of book depreciation, utility rate base, utility rate making and regulatory policies and procedures, and Allowance for Funds Used During Construction (AFUDC).
