ABOUT RICCARDO RUSSO

I chose HR because people are the most complex, fascinating system I’ve ever encountered. And I mean that as a compliment. My background is in Philosophy — a deliberate choice that trained me to ask better questions, challenge hidden assumptions, and sit comfortably with complexity. When I found HR, it wasn’t a compromise. It was the logical destination. In the last few years at Selecta Italia, I’ve been learning what it really means to work with and for people — not from a textbook, but from the inside— In Talent Acquisition, I went from shadowing interviews to independently managing end-to-end recruitment. 50+ candidates met, 10 placements made — and a growing conviction that potential matters more than a perfect CV— In People Development, I started structuring onboarding journeys and building learning paths, discovering that how people enter an organization quietly shapes how far they’ll go inside it— In HR Operations, I learned that managing admin and payroll oversight for ~200 people across a region isn’t just process — it’s the foundation of trust between a company and its people— In Strategic Projects, I contributed to our UNI PdR 125 Gender Equality Certification and joined a company-wide AI & Digital Transformation initiative — two experiences that showed me HR can be a genuine driver of organizational change, not just a support function— In Industrial Relations, sitting in trade union meetings as secretary taught me that the most important negotiations about work happen in the most formal rooms — and that listening carefully is a leadership skill.I’m still early in my career, and I know it. But I’m building deliberately — toward the Future of Work and Organizational Design. The conviction that how we structure work is one of the most underestimated levers for human wellbeing. I don’t want to just make HR more efficient. I want to help make it more human. If you’re building something that takes both seriously, let’s talk.
