ABOUT RICCARDO LIBERATI
As a DPhil student in Medieval History at the University of Oxford, I am passionate about exploring the cultural and diplomatic exchanges across Eurasia during the Mongol Period. My research focuses on Mongol Persia between the end of the thirteenth and the beginning of the fourteenth centuries, a fascinating and understudied topic that reveals the complexity and diversity of the Mongol Empire.I have developed strong research skills, working with primary sources in various languages, such as Persian, Latin, and Italian. I have also presented my findings at multiple conferences and workshops, receiving positive feedback and constructive suggestions from leading scholars in the field. My academic journey has been rooted in a lifelong aspiration to become a historian, and I have pursued this goal through a rigorous and international education, obtaining degrees from Italy, France, and The Netherlands, before joining Oxford.
