ABOUT RICARDO V.
Born and raised in East Los Angeles, I am a first-generation Latino pursuing a degree in Computer Science and Linguistics at UCLA. I’m passionate about leveraging technology to address societal challenges and promote equity. My interests include software development, artificial intelligence, and product management, all grounded in a strong commitment to building inclusive and impactful technology solutions.I am an AI/ML Fellow with Break Through Tech, where I explore how artificial intelligence and automation can be applied to real-world, socially meaningful problems. I also completed a Software Engineering internship at FOX Corporation, where I built internal tools and automation solutions to improve team workflows and reduce manual processes.Outside of academics, I co-founded CollegeNav, a nonprofit supporting first-generation and transfer students with resources for college applications, financial aid, and internships. Whether I’m building tools, contributing to research, or mentoring others, I’m driven by the belief that technology should create opportunity, not reinforce barriers.I am currently exploring new grad opportunities and would love to connect, feel free to reach out!
