As Director of the Welcome Center and Community Outreach, I spearhead the development of our district’s Welcome Center, a strategic initiative aimed at fostering inclusivity and support for new families. I oversee student placement, focusing on streamlining processes, removing barriers, and creating more human-centered systems. Through partnerships with over 30 community-based organizations, I work to enhance resources for students and families. Additionally, I lead language access initiatives, manage the development of a district-wide volunteer system with a new platform, and launched the Family Ambassador Program. I also supervise family engagement specialists and support the intake process for students with limited or interrupted education.
