ABOUT RICARDO DAGUIAR
I am a communications strategist, multimedia creative and a journalist by training. I have broad international experience in the commercial and non-profit sectors. Work experience in 30 countries in West Asia, Africa, Europe, the Americas and the Pacific. I am a Chevening scholar with an MA in Media and International Development from the University of East Anglia, UK. Wide experience in the non-profit sector with INGOs and CSOs in different countries and some understanding of the UN system. 5+ years of corporate management experience, many more in broadcast television in several countries, cinema and documentary productions, independent initiatives and media education. Good understanding of social media strategies, tools and content creation. Award-winning photographer and a hands-on filmmaker with camera, sound, editing and post-production experience, equally comfortable in the field and office. A proponent of multidisciplinary approaches, creator of conceptual art and intermedia projects. Since March 2024, I have proudly been with Tree Canada as the organization\'s first Content Manager.
