I have undertaken many assessments of the impact of industry and transportation on local environments and my work experience has included the monitoring and modelling of noise, design of mitigation measures and consultancy advice on a wide range of noise issues. I was the noise and vibration technical lead for the DCO application for Hinkley Point C nuclear new build, submitted to PINS in March 2012, including providing technical support through the Issue Specific Hearings, and a separate Public Inquiry for an associated development. Ric has provided further expert witness evidence to Public Inquiry and Appeal Hearings, as well as the Issue Specific Hearings relating to several other Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects.Further project experience and expertise includes preparing and peer reviewing noise impact assessments for; residential and mixed-use planning applications, renewable energy developments including wind farms and biomass burning power stations, nuclear new build, high-volt electricity converter stations and transmission, airports, landfill site operating permits, and major highways schemes.
