Perform Standard Oxygen Transfer Efficiency (SOTE) and Standard Oxygen Transfer Rate (SOTR) testing on fine-bubble and coarse-bubble aeration systems used in wastewater treatment applications.Set up and operate pilot-scale and full-scale test tanks, including installation of diffusers, blowers, airflow meters, pressure gauges, and control valves in accordance with ASCE/EWRI clean-water testing standards.Operate, calibrate, and maintain dissolved oxygen (DO) probes, handheld meters, data loggers, and temperature and pressure sensors to ensure accurate and repeatable measurements.Monitor real-time changes in DO concentration, airflow rate, water depth, temperature, and barometric pressure during oxygen transfer testing.Collect, organized, and validated experimental data and performed calculations for SOTE, SOTR, oxygen transfer efficiency, oxygen transfer rate per diffuser, and correction factors.Assisted in determining alpha factors and evaluating aeration performance under varying operating conditions.Follow strict quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) procedures to ensure compliance with standardized testing protocols and internal laboratory SOPs.Maintain detailed laboratory records, test logs, and electronic datasets to support engineering analysis and client reporting.Clean, inspect, and maintain aeration equipment, diffusers, piping, and test tanks before and after experiments to ensure consistent test conditions.Assist engineers and senior technicians with experimental design, troubleshooting, and performance evaluation of aeration systems.Support preparation of technical reports, summaries, and performance documentation for internal review and external clients.Adhere to laboratory safety guidelines, including proper handling of electrical equipment, compressed air systems, and water-based testing environments.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve testing efficiency, data accuracy, and laboratory operations.
