The Self Advocacy Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and execution of meetings for the Self Advocacy Advisory Committee (SAAC) and Statewide Self Advocacy Network (SSAN). This includes coordinating logistics for meetings and workgroup calls with SAAC and SSAN Members. The Self Advocacy Coordinator works directly with self advocates providing individual assistance and consultation including researching topic materials and preparing meeting agendas, coordinating meeting venues, and presentations. The Self Advocacy Coordinator also provides SAAC/SSAN committee meetings with administrative support including providing alternative formats of the agenda and related meeting materials and/or auxiliary aids/services to individuals with disabilities who require for their participation in the meeting. The Self Advocacy Coordinator coordinates with management in the development of presentations using advanced software skills and the application of plain language best practices.
