ABOUT RIA GUPTA
I’m a therapist with a private practice in India, blending evidence-based Western methods with the richness of Indian traditions. To me, mental health is about meeting people where they are.Before coming back, I spent 8 years active in Canada’s mental health space — giving school presentations, running social media campaigns, volunteering on crisis lines, and providing one-on-one therapy. Those experiences taught me the power of small gestures and community care. Being immersed in Canada’s multicultural context also showed me that, ultimately, people everywhere just want to feel seen — and that is the main goal of my practice.I’ve supported clients with a variety of concerns, often working with anxiety, building self-compassion, challenging unhelpful thoughts, and helping people simply allow themselves to be.Beyond therapy, I tutor students, helping them not just achieve academic goals but also build confidence and resilience. I’ve mentored over 100 students through one-on-one sessions.Now back in Hyderabad, India, I’m excited to blend the best of both worlds — creating spaces that are practical, culturally sensitive, and genuinely human-first.
