About Riad Mehmud

I\'m a Mechanical Engineering student at Drexel, working toward an accelerated BS/MS. Most of my time goes into research at the ARVIN Lab, where I\'m helping develop a 3D concrete printer to study material behavior and construction automation. I also did a research rotation in astroparticle physics, building 3D visualizations of IceCube neutrino detector events in Python.Outside the lab, I\'ve worked on projects ranging from IoT-based irrigation systems to wearable-assisted pill dispensers — mostly things that sit at the intersection of hardware, software, and real-world use.I work part-time at Saxbys and previously spent time as an Engineering Assistant at Artheon, reviewing structural inspection documentation. Both pushed me to work carefully and communicate clearly, which has carried over into my research.Dean\'s List | Dean\'s Scholarship Recipient
