Rhonda Pinkney-Wimberly is Director of Community Affairs for Turner Construction Company in South Florida, after serving as community affairs assistant for three years and community affairs coordinator for two years. The MIC Rental Car Facility consists of two major components, the ready return care rental facility with a storage capacity of approximately 5,600 vehicles and the Quick Turn Around with a storage capacity of approximately 1,300 vehicles which consist of car wash facilities and fueling stations on multiple levels, which makes it one of a kind in the continental U.S.Pinkney-Wimberly, who is active in numerous professional and community organizations in South Florida, is responsible for managing Turner’s diversity programs in South Florida. She establishes and maintains working relationships with state and local community leaders and civic organizations.Pinkney-Wimberly for the past six years helped to develop and coordinate Turner’s popular School of Construction Management courses for small, minority and woman-owned businesses in South Florida. These eight to twelve week courses have educated more than 1200 local professionals representing small companies in the construction marketplace in South Florida. She also works directly with graduates of the course to seek opportunities to do business with Turner and develop partnerships in the industry.
