About Ryan Hoerr

Business generalist. Programming specialist. Ecommerce lifer. Over 18 years at ParadoxLabs, I\'ve architected and shipped solutions for hundreds of clients, processed billions of dollars in transactions, and stayed on the forefront of the Magento/Mage-OS ecosystem through every major shift the platform has seen. As a software architect, I do it all: discovery, planning, implementation, launch, and everything after. I\'ve handled payment security and PCI compliance, performance at scale, complex integrations, and more than a few production fires. I mentor engineers, advise clients, and make sure things actually get done. Outside of client work, I\'m a founding board member and maintainer of Mage-OS — an independent, nonprofit distribution of Magento. I\'ve been responsible for communications, operations, release management, funding infrastructure, and technical contributions ranging from core code to CI/CD workflows to open source modules. I solve hard problems, and make things better.

   I\'m a founding member and maintainer of Mage-OS, an independent and nonprofit distribution of Magento. Our goal is to foster innovation and excellence in the Magento ecosystem, and sustain the platform for many years to come.As a board member, I have been responsible for communications, administration, and general operations of the association. This includes establishing our funding system; finding and onboarding paid staff to further our mission; and maintaining regular notes and public updates.As maintainer, I have been deeply involved in the technical decisions and code, from maintaining our infrastructure and workflows, to publishing updates to our Magento Mirror and to Mage-OS Distribution, to processing pull requests, planning, organizing efforts, and contributing my own time and code in the form of fixes, improvements, pull requests, and open source modules.
