Steven M. Karabin is a Petroleum & Natural Gas Engineer and energy governance advisor with more than 35 years of experience spanning offshore drilling operations, executive leadership, mineral fund management, and energy infrastructure development.After serving honorably as a Staff Non-Commissioned Officer (Staff Sergeant) in the United States Marine Corps, Steven earned a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University. He began his professional career offshore in the Gulf of Mexico supporting major operators including Exxon, Shell, Chevron, and Conoco, focusing on drilling operations, reservoir modeling, and economic evaluation of oil and gas prospects.He later held senior executive leadership roles including President of Total Project Solutions and Senior Vice President at Fulton Bank, maintaining direct P&L responsibility, enterprise oversight, and strategic growth leadership across engineering, construction, and financial institutions.Steven is Founder & CEO of RHINO, an engineering-driven energy governance and infrastructure platform providing compliance oversight, forensic auditing, mineral advisory, and infrastructure strategy services for institutional investors, working interest participants, mineral owners, and legal professionals.His work includes:• COPAS Accounting Procedure compliance• Joint Operating Agreement (JOA) compliance• Non-Operated Working Interest audits• Joint Interest Billing (JIB) analysis• Forensic royalty audits• Mineral acquisition and divestiture advisoryIn 2023, he co-founded Legacy Energy Holdings I, LP, a private mineral investment fund focused on Marcellus and Utica natural gas assets.
