ABOUT RHIANNON STROMBERG
I lead CGI\'s Business Consulting practice in British Columbia where I focus on large-scale organizational changes and transformations, working to help teams and people unleash their potential and get to where they want to be. Prior to my current role, my portfolio at the City of Edmonton included stewarding the strategic planning, budget planning, performance reporting and risk management processes for the Integrated Infrastructure Services Department. This built on my other recent work, where I worked closely with frontline staff, people leaders, Labour Relations and the union to develop a plan for workplace restoration while implementing a revised organizational structure. This led to a 40 percentage point increase in employee satisfaction. Before that, I built the team that developed Building Edmonton and before that, I worked with the Project Management Centre of Excellence to re-focus the team’s work and implement a Project Management Information System.Working for the Government of Saskatchewan, I was honoured to work for three Deputy Ministers as the primary liaison between Ministries and their Minister’s offices, where I learned the key factors that influence decision makers and the processes through which decisions are made. Outside of work, I’m learning new places to hike or kayak since moving to Vancouver Island for family reasons, trying new cocktail recipes, and (badly) throwing pottery.Feel free to reach out if you can recommend a good thriller with an unreliable narrator, discuss Catan strategy or want to brainstorm best practices in organizational transformations. I’d love to chat.
