ABOUT RHEAGAN H.

I am a researcher, educator, and wellness advocate, deeply committed to exploring the intersections of culture, identity, and health. As a doctoral candidate, my dissertation examines the commodification of African American bodies, social relationships, and inherited foodways through the lens of biopolitics. By analyzing how cultural identity shapes health disparities, my work challenges the assumption that these issues are solely systemic and highlights the potential for individual-level change. I believe that empowering people to take control of their well-being can contribute to broader societal transformation.Alongside my academic work, I am building a future where wellness and education intersect. I’m in the process of creating a space where individuals can engage in holistic practices such as yoga and mindfulness, fostering well-being and personal growth. In the near future, I’ll be launching a Website and Podcast to share insights on my research, wellness practices, and my journey to creating a wellness center.
