About Rhéa Beckford

As a curious person, I enjoy getting into whatever I can. Since my time at Howard, I have had the honor of serving those around me in various ways. This summer, I became a Tutor and Social Media Manager for POWER Academic Strength and Conditioning. In this role, I was responsible for teaching elementary school students basic coding skills and marketing this service through the use of social media and flyer distribution. Last semester, I served as Lead Coordinator for ResFest Field Day 2019, where I made it my main goal to improve upon the event from past years. I also served as the Vice President of Howard Plaza Towers West. In this role, I handled resident concerns and presented issues to the rest of the council in all executive meetings and took part in creating and promoting all Dorm Council Events. I am also a member of the Undergraduate Student Assembly Street Team at Howard, where it is my job to use social media to promote various UGSA events to the Howard student body. During my sophomore year, I became a co-host for a podcast called \"Roses & Thorns\" a part of Howard University Glasshouse Radio.
