ABOUT RHEA ADESARA
I am a Public Health student at Purdue University on the pre-med track, passionate about improving patient outcomes through primary care and addressing social determinants of health. Through my experiences in healthcare and community settings, I have developed strong interpersonal and communication skills while working with diverse populations. As an endoscopy volunteer at Community Health Network, I have gained exposure to clinical environments and patient care workflows. Additionally, my work with Gleaners Food Bank has strengthened my understanding of how access to resources impacts overall health outcomes. Beyond healthcare, my leadership and teaching experiences as a swim instructor have allowed me to develop adaptability, patience, and the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively—skills that I will carry into my future medical career. I am currently seeking healthcare-related internships and clinical opportunities that will allow me to further expand my experience and continue working toward a career in medicine.
