What do you want to be when you grow up?” “A lawyer!” an eager, six-year-old me responded. Fast forward to now. Although, I’m nowhere near becoming a lawyer, I’m certain the six-year-old me would be okay with that. Six-year-old me enjoyed puzzles, creating new friendships, reading stories, as well as fabricating them, and conversations about what was “hip”. Not much has changed since then, the only difference is that I have found new synonyms for those. As a professional, I refer to the following as my skills: business development, strategizing, consulting, storytelling, social listening while remaining ‘trend-savvy.’I wanted to be lawyer because I thought it would be a neat way to combine my past interests but six-year old me was no fortune-teller. He had no idea something called “digital strategy” would become a thing.
