About Bob Halperin
Bob Halperin is a YPO-certified forum facilitator and co-founder of Alumni Forum Services, a social enterprise consultancy that brings Harvard alumni and other executives together for confidential, peer group discussions of important business and personal issues. Bob is also a Research Affiliate at, and was previously Executive Director of, MIT\'s Center for Collective Intelligence. and is the former chair of the Academic Board of the Emeritus Institute of Management.Bob is a recognized expert on peer support groups, having co-authored the Harvard Business Review article “How to Get the Most out of Peer Support Groups: A guide to the benefits and best practices,” and been a featured guest on the Harvard Business Review Management Channel on “The Power of Peer Support Groups.” He loves sharing best practices and helping to advance the state of the art in Forum through his blog. Bob has also taught in Harvard Business School Publishing’s Leadership Direct Program, MIT Sloan\'s Innovation Period, Wharton Executive Education, and Dartmouth Tuck\'s Executive Education program. He is a YPO Certified Forum Facilitator (including Transformational Forum).Bob previously held senior leadership roles at Young Presidents Organization (Chief Education Officer), Harvard Business School (Managing Director, Custom Executive Education), Babson College (Associate Dean), and MIT Sloan School of Management (Director of Executive Education). Bob has been recognized multiple times as an educational entrepreneur, including for his leadership roles in launching the MIT Series on Management & Technology and Babson’s Program on Corporate Entrepreneurship.Bob received his MBA from Harvard Business School where he co-founded the Nonprofit Management Fellowships and served as founding chair of the Social Enterprise Club Alumni Advisory Board. Bob was honored to be selected as an Eisenhower Fellow, and participated with a small group of other mid-career American leaders in an intensive program of international idea exchange. Bob’s fellowship topics – best practices in executive development, the role of technology in management education, and enhanced models for industry-university cooperation – remain central areas of interest for him today.
