ABOUT RUSSELL GAMMON

The CV type bits- 17 years and counting experience in the tax and regulatory technology space - 10 years at 2 of the Big 4; from graduate to Director in 8 years- Multiple ground-up software builds, scaling from 0-250+ customers, £multiple millions in ARR. Launched and ran K-Helix which later sold to Regnology- Swapped thousands of fellow employees for 30 or so at a start-up. Involved in VC fundraise process and launched another product; again first to market- Swapped start-up for PE-backed scale up. Led innovation and solutions teams, through a successful exit (Bowmark > Providence Equity). The more interesting bits- I’m best when chasing a goal that I think will make a difference or make a market- I like to understand the “why”. Why does a customer want something? What’s driving them? What difference can we make- I love new technology. I’m always playing with something new, but quickly turn that into “how can we make our clients lives better with this?” - Take generative AI - I firmly believe that will shift the paradigm in tax. I’m going to be at the front of the queue making that happen. So, you’ll find me involved in anything “new and shiny” in the world of tax, and hopefully you’ll end up using software I’ve had a hand in creating and thinking “that’s cool”…
