ABOUT RAUTHAI FERRELL

Writer with experience in social media and novel writing with writer’s groups. Experience with developing, editing, and proofreading content for a client by deadline. Diligent and motivated professional with excellent communication skills willing to work independently or collaborating as a team member pitching ideas whenever possible. At the University of Maryland Baltimore County, I acquired my Bachelor of Arts in Media and Communications. I chose this field because I have always been fascinated with media and how it conveys information. As a storyteller, I wanted to learn the different strategies the media uses to convey information and the best way for me to express my thoughts. I acquired my minor in Theatre and have assisted in the production of plays ever since I was a member of the Western School of Technology and Science high school theatre club. I am always open to acting opportunities. I love acting because it is a fun way to connect to an audience and another way to communicate. An actor serves as a vessel to convey another’s ideas. When done correctly, the actor can convey the thoughts of a writer in a way that the creator may be unable to. I obtained my minor in Journalism and have worked in the field ever since I was part of my elementary school, Chadwick Elementary newspaper. I have always believed in finding the truth, making sure people’s voices are heard and assisting others. I am currently working at St. Elizabeth school as a 1:1 assistant. I’ve spent seven years at Cherry Hill Medical Services as the Vice President of Business Development, assisting the business by performing tasks such as keeping track of data, sending out information to our patients and assisting staff with whatever they need. I am currently writing a Fantasy Novel Series. I am not currently published but my goal is for this to be my first in many series that I write. My beliefs include respecting others and being true to oneself. As a novelist, I wish to use my knowledge obtained from my degrees to convey my thoughts to the masses in a way that I would be unable to through other mediums. If I can improve people’s self-worth through my stories, then I know that I was successful.
