Project Description:The Climate Change Learning Centre (CCLC) at Agastya International Foundation aims to educate and engage students and teachers in the critical global challenge of climate change through immersive, hands-on learning experiences. By developing interactive exhibits, educational curricula, and mobile outreach models, this initiative seeks to make climate education accessible to students in diverse settings, including remote areas through Agastya’s Mobile Science Labs and Bikes. The Centre will offer experiential learning tools focused on the causes, effects, and solutions to climate change, fostering environmental awareness and action.The aspirations of this project that are ever evolving are:1. Enhancing Educational Impact: The project aims to develop educational content and hands-on experiments that are even more engaging and effective. This features Developing climate education programs featuring immersive exhibits and hands-on learning experiences for children aged 8-14 at the Agastya International Foundation in Kuppam, India2. Enhancing Accessibility: The team will focus on improving the mobility, accessibility, and reach of climate education. This features Encouraging climate resilience and sustainability through experiential learning and working with local peoples to adopt innovative solutions to the overarching problem of climate change 3.Community Engagement: In addition to reaching students, the project will work on strategies to more actively engage adult community members. This features Participating in on-the-ground fieldwork in India, collaborating with the local community to enhance scientific thinking and improve climate change education initiatives
