I serve as a Principal Project Engineer supporting BP’s Whiting Refinery, where I coordinate site-based engineering efforts and home office design integration for capital and compliance-driven projects. My role involves ensuring technical alignment, safety compliance, and efficient execution of project deliverables from planning through construction.I coordinate with field personnel, project managers, and discipline leads to verify site conditions, perform constructability reviews, and resolve field-engineering issues. I conduct P & ID walkdowns, gather field data, and support development of execution strategies that account for safety, operations, and schedule constraints.As HSSE focal point, I ensure Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHAs) are conducted for all visitors. I support QA/QC by inspecting delivered equipment and materials to confirm compliance with specs and drawings. I also assist in cost estimating, MOC documentation, and coordination of vendor support and specialty services as needed.I help integrate construction planning with real-world conditions, ensuring feasibility of installation and resolving NCRs when necessary.
