ABOUT REYHAN WATSON

Rey is a federal prosecutor in the United States Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of New York. During his time as a prosecutor, Rey has prosecuted, and directed the investigations of, a broad array of criminal cases, including mail and wire fraud, bank fraud, securities fraud, extortion, public corruption, interstate threats, firearms offenses, Hobbs Act robbery, interstate transport of stolen property, fugitive offenses, narcotics trafficking, national security offenses, and child victims offenses. Rey has also handled appeals on behalf of the United States in federal appeals courts. Before working at the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Rey spent over 8 years in private practice, where he worked on a wide variety of complex criminal and civil cases, including white collar criminal and regulatory investigations and prosecutions, as well as domestic and international arbitrations. Rey’s work involved all phases of the trial and appellate process, including coordinating complex discovery, preparing witnesses, motion practice and writing appeals briefs, as well as mediations, negotiations and settlements. Rey maintained an award-winning pro bono practice, and devoted significant time to serving underrepresented communities. His work spanned a broad array of matters, including including bail reform litigation and appeals, family and matrimonial law, housing law, race discrimination, and asylum.Attorney advertising.
