This magazine is designed to be a platform for a host of diverse voices predominantly from the African American Community capturing the thoughts of persons representing many segments of our society who have stories to tell and a desire to enter into a conversation with multi-generational audiences about the things many of us don’t talk enough about in our community; the subject of Economics in the context of Faith. The concept of the magazine is to use the following definition of Economics as the foundation of our dialog:\"the branch of knowledge concerned with the production, consumption, and transfer of wealth\". As a Church and Community leader it troubles me that the subject of Economics in the context of Faith takes back seat to other more traditional subjects that focus on issues and matters that although important, too often dominate our thoughts and behaviors preventing many from accomplishing the success God desires for us as a people. In my own personal economic struggles and brokenness the question for me has been for a long while; how do we in the Black Community gain the necessary knowledge collectively to ensure more persons achieve economic success in a way that truly transform lives, prosper communities, bless families and allow us to become more productive contributors to the society at-large not as simply consumers of goods and services, but producers of wealth that can be transferred to future generations. Therefore, I am inviting friends (old and new), colleagues, family members and a host of prospective collaborators to join with me to support this new publication that is specifically designed to reach, speak to and empower members of the African American community and persons of color to bring about positive change and transformation in our communities and the neighborhoods where most live, work and or play. Please support this cause! Thank you.
