Since Angel Flight Northeast\'s first flight in 1996, our mission coordinators have scheduled air transportation for more than children and adults including their families. With over 400 Volunteer Pilots and airline partners, we have been able to fly patients & passengers more than 15 million miles - at no cost to them - so they can access life-saving medical care. As well, our Earth Angels/Ground Crew are there to greet the patients and their families with open arms and transport them to and from their destinations. All of this would not be possible without the dedication of our Volunteer Pilots, Partners and Earth Angels along with the generosity of our donors and supporters.
ABOUT LARRY CAMERLIN
Angel Flight Northeast was founded by Fr. Larry Camerlin, M.Div. an avid pilot and priest who has dedicated his professional career to healthcare ministry. He knew he wanted to find a way to give back to the community and support those in need of accessing life-saving medical care. Prior to founding Angel Flight Northeast, Fr. Larry was the Founder, President and CEO of a Greater Boston ambulance service. Under his direction and guidance, the company grew from a fleet of two ambulances and a staff of four to over 235 employees and a fleet of more than 70 ambulances and wheelchair vans and into one of the most highly-respected emergency medical services organizations in Massachusetts by establishing a unique medical ministry of caring for the sick and injured. Fr. Larry began his ministry in 1965 as a Roman Catholic Franciscan Friar primarily within healthcare and hospital settings.After leaving the Franciscan Order, he continued his ministry in healthcare and hospice work. Fr. Larry is a Catholic priest in the Old Catholic Church, one of the rites of the one, holy, catholic and apostolic church, whose mission is rooted in the gospels, while providing an affirming, inclusive, evangelical and sacramental presence to all in their diversity. Fr. Larry holds a B.A. in Philosophy and M.Div in Pastoral Ministry. He is married with four children and six grandchildren.
