ABOUT JEANETTE GOODSON

Reverend Doctor Jeanette Goodson is a a Chaplain at Hackensack Meridian JFK Medical Center in Edison NJ and a member of the ministerial staff at Fountain Baptist Church in Summit, New Jersey. Rev. Dr. Goodson serves as Ministry Leader of the Kenya Educational Sponsorship Ministry of Kibwezi Kenya (KESP). Since her first visit to Kenya in 1997 with her husband, Joe, Rev. Dr. Goodson has been helping to provide disadvantaged Kenyan students access to a quality education. With the generous support of Fountain, partner churches, corporate donors, and individual sponsors, more than 1.4 million dollars has been raised to provide underprivileged Kenyan children an education. To date, over 4,800 children have received an education. Rev. Dr. Goodson believes that providing a basic education to these children is critical for their survival and will ultimately create pathways from poverty to economic sustainability. Not only is Rev. Dr. Goodson impacting the lives of Kenyans, but she has introduced over 350 African-Americans to the continent of Africa by providing mission trips to Kenya and South Africa. While the primary vision of KESP is to provide educational support to the children of Kenya, the program has expanded to other initiates designed to positively impact the lives of the people of Kenya. Rev. Dr. Goodson spearheaded a water initiative to provide access to clean drinking water for over people to reduce water-related diseases and promote sustainable agriculture. Rev. Dr. Goodson beliefs that all things are possible when you are in the Will of God.
