Tend to the spiritual and emotional needs of patients and their families from the start of care through bereavement support for families after the patient’s death. Includes collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to create an individualized plan of care, performing regular routine visits, end-of-life visits, and participating in regular interdisciplinary team meetings. Selected to be a participant in an internal Leaders In Training Program consisting of monthly classes, practice with public speaking, and exploration of leadership topics. Provide leadership and emotional/spiritual care to internal Brighton colleagues and facility staff, tending to staff care needs and providing leadership at memorial services. Document all communication appropriately in each patient’s chart. Experience working with patients of diverse religious and spiritual backgrounds, including non-religious patients.
