ABOUT JOE MACDONNELL
I operate where the world of Cyber meets the world of Resilience; I have worked on three of the largest cyber transformations programmes in this space over the last decade, been a Deputy CISO, led Cyber Operations for critical national infrastructure and held a leading operational risk role in a European media company. I have a particular focus on the private sector and technology, media and telecoms sector and geek out on the things they do. I also lead the Deloitte UK security alliance with Google, bringing the best of Deloitte and Google together to secure organisations from cyber threats. A typical day for me consists of managing my delivery teams, acting as a sounding board for my clients and meeting new people in the industries where I operate. I bring order, communicate with stories and create safe spaces for people to grow; the last of which is very important to me.I take pride in supporting the talent part of our Cyber, Digital and Data practice. I’m a coach to a number of people and lead the performance management of our senior manager grades. I love to be involved in all of the extra-curricular activities that revolve around workplace culture and I’m a champion for well-being and bringing your authentic self to work.
