An experienced wind turbine engineer who has worked as a field technical support engineer, project manager for wind turbine installation and commissioning, project manager for engineering tests in wind turbines, as a technical interface for sale business units related to new product development projects, and independent engineer and owner’s engineer for prospective and operational wind projects. In my current role, I have worked extensively with top tier wind turbine suppliers to understand various wind turbine technologies, test and validations plans, prototyping plans, and manufacturing plans to assess any underlying risks associated with these technologies. I have evaluated plausibility of site-specific loads analysis results and assessed risks in terms of design life for various components and projected O&M costs for the future. I have evaluated several root cause analysis results for any past failures in a wind turbine platform and assessed associated risks for future operations. I have undertaken independent studies for EPRI related to reliability of wind turbine step-up transformers, wind turbine lightning protection system, and wind turbine converters. I have undertaken owner’s engineering services to assess radar based wind turbine obstruction lighting and dimming solutions for wind turbine obstruction lights.
