I am a highly-skilled professional with 20+ years of experience in non-profit administration, advocacy, quality improvement and project management. I recently joined the team at U.S.VETS - Long Beach, providing housing and related support services to local veterans and their families. I look forward to collaborating with others in our community to better serve them. For the previous decade, I served as the Executive Director of the California Psychology Internship Council (CAPIC). CAPIC promotes excellence in local, diverse and quality psychology training and mental health services in California, and offers structured opportunities for pathway licensure without the imprimatur of accreditation. I previously served as administrator at Glide Health Services, a community health clinic (3 years). There I coordinated the successful implementation of electronic practice management system and the transition to electronic medical records. I also managed HIPAA privacy and security compliance, as well as internal Continuous Quality Improvement practices. I also served as a Naval Flight Office, as well as an Automated Data Processing (ADP) Division Officer, and was responsible for the operation, maintenance and security of command mainframe and microcomputer (PC) systems.    U.S.VETS was founded in 1992 to address the unmet needs of homeless veterans in Los Angeles County, and now has over 40 residential sites and service centers in 20 locations across the country. Over the past 30 years, U.S.VETS has engaged more than veterans, helped more than veterans have a place to call home, and placed veterans into employment. As Operations Manager, I manage all of the administrative, compliance and financial aspects of U.S.VETS - Long Beach programs, including transitional housing, permanent housing, case management, employment, aftercare and other supportive services for veterans and their families.
