ACT-Geo is an organization that provides geoscience consulting and training services. We have a global presence and experience and provide assistance to local and international oil and gas companies, government agencies, and universities. Our offering of geoscience consulting and training is first-in-class for the following reasons:– Fit-for-Decision: We have multiple decades of technical and leadership experience across exploration and production problems and are able to drive subsurface characterization and training fully aligned with business timelines and decisions.– Technical Foundation: Our evaluations are grounded in first principles of geoscience concepts, rely on integration and alignment of data across core, well log and seismic scales and integrate the latest concepts, tools and technologies available.– Cost Effective: Because of our strong fit-for-decision timelines, strong technical foundation, and limited overhead cost, we are able to offer high quality evaluations at short timelines and affordable prices. In recent years we have provided consulting and training for AAPG, EAGE, Apache, CNOOC, Equinor, FLUXUS, Hess, KNOC, Murphy, Oxy, PetroBras, Petronas, PPL, TotalEnergies, YPF.

ABOUT JONK

I am a geoscience leader with 25+ years experience in global surface and subsurface basin characterisation with a focus on oil & gas exploration and production. I excel at integrating geological, geophysical, engineering and commercial disciplines. I am comfortable with data across scales and timelines to inform business decisions and streamline asset portfolios. My professional journey has taken me across deep-water, shallow-marine and terrestrial depositional settings in offshore and onshore basins globally. I have taken on roles as an individual technical expert, a consultant, a team leader and a project leader with both larger and smaller international oil & gas companies and have engaged with government and academic institutions. I have worked across the full upstream cycle, from exploration, through appraisal into field development and know what it takes at each stage to optimize subsurface evaluations and streamline efficient and effective decision-making at each phase of a project.I am a recognized expert in tectono-stratigraphic and seismic stratigraphic basin and field evaluation, play and prospect risking and assessment, field & reservoir characterization, clastic stratigraphy and sedimentology, CCS evaluations and mudstone (seal, source and unconventional reservoir) analyses. I am excited to apply my subsurface problem-solving skills to hydrocarbon and energy transition projects!
