About Renee T. Willis
As the Executive Director of MARTHA HOLDEN JENNINGS FOUNDATION (MHJF), one of the largest private foundations dedicated to improving public education in Ohio, I lead the strategic vision and grantmaking of the organization. With over 30 years of experience and a Ph.D. in Urban Education, I have a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing public schools in diverse and complex contexts.Before joining MHJF in 2024, I was the CEO and Lead Consultant of RTC Consulting, a firm that partnered with educational entities seeking to close achievement gaps, enhance administrative leadership, and improve operational processes. I also served as the Superintendent of RICHMOND HEIGHTS LOCAL SCHOOL DISTRICT for 9.5 years, where I implemented research-based strategies that increased student efficacy and academic performance. My objective in life is to make the greatest possible impact in the lives of students, educators, and communities, and to empower them to actualize their greatest potential for the betterment of all.
