ABOUT RENEE MOE

Renee Moe leads United Way of Dane County, mobilizing the community\'s caring power so all can thrive. United Way of Dane County is recognized in the top 2% of U.S. nonprofits by Charity Navigator for transparency, efficiency and impact, and is known for ensuring dollars are well-spent and making measurable community change. Thanks to the Dan and Patti Rashke (TASC) Family Foundation underwriting all administrative costs to inspire more giving, 100% of individual giving goes to impact. Community members who want to multiply their resources to not only help, but to solve difficult community problems, choose partnership with United Way. United Way combines research, data and community listening to focus work through the Plan for Community Well-Being. The plan addresses root causes of disparities, frames community strategies and outcomes, and coordinates strategic investments in effective nonprofit programs and community collaborations; the approach is multi-generational, focused on early childhood, education, financial stability, housing and health, strengthening family well-being that results in overall community health. Community progress metrics include reducing poverty for children under 5, increasing households living 200% above federal poverty level (the cost to rent a market rate apartment), increasing third grade reading and high school graduation rates, and increasing life expectancy. United Way also advances community resilience, providing information and referral, and disaster response and recovery through 211, and cultivating civic leadership, giving, volunteerism and nonprofit effectiveness.Renee is a military kid who grew up on three continents and a Wisconsin farm, and she holds Journalism and Mandarin Chinese degrees and an MBA from UW-Madison. She\'s received awards like The Links\' Distinguished Community Service, Brava Magazine\'s Woman2Watch, and InBusiness Magazine’s Executive of the Year, and is a 3rd degree Taekwondo black belt. She loves her family, our community and United Way\'s mission: Unite the community to create measurable results that change lives. The Power of Caring. Working for Donate | Volunteer | Get Help
