As Coordinator of Internal Investigations, I manage assigned cases with Title IX Investigator direct report, for instances of Title IX, Title VI and VII, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, fraudulent accounting and financial reporting, and violations of laws, regulations, and policies. I orchestrate background investigations program operations to determine applicant volunteer and employment eligibility and authorize vendor payroll processing. A few of my key contributions include:Conducted review of resumes to determine if candidate eligibility in hiring process, supervised fingerprinting, and searched for criminal records and CPS maltreatment, supporting 600 employees, 300 substitutes, and 200 volunteers and interns. Guided investigations of up to 75 cases per year including incident assessment, action recommendation, return-to-work support, equipment returns, and training to rebuild trust and clear communication. Revised discrimination and harassment reporting process, improving resource availability and options. Developed and conducted compliance training for 200+ administrators annually focused on upcoming legal changes, common issues and questions, and misconduct trends. Trained up to 350 newly hired teachers annually. Introduced mediation program to increase communication for employees prior to need for investigation and organized internal and vendor mediators to meet with employees.
