Church Alley is a mission-driven hospitality business rooted in New Orleans, committed to creating and empowering healthy food and beverage experiences along the Gulf Coast.Our flagship space, Church Alley Café & Grocery, opened in January 2012 and served as a welcoming hub for veggie-forward meals, community connection, and local economic empowerment. The café featured a curated, women-owned retail section, blending nourishment and neighborhood pride in every detail until its closure in November 2024.We also proudly hosted annual community fundraisers supporting local mutual aid, food justice initiatives, and disaster relief efforts—bringing together neighbors, artists, and small businesses to uplift and invest in one another.I built the Church Alley brand from the ground up—developing our visual identity, voice, and product lines to reflect our core values of nourishment, equity, and care. Our storytelling, both in-store and online, played a vital role in building trust and deepening community relationships.Church Alley remained a reliable community anchor through challenges including the COVID-19 pandemic and regional climate disruptions—quickly adapting operations to ensure continued access to healthy food, safe gathering spaces, and neighborhood support.Today, Church Alley continues to serve through our private-label pantry line, bringing signature offerings into homes and businesses. The line includes housemade coffee syrups, frozen cookie dough, granola, salad dressings, chai, and sustainable loose-leaf teas—available via local wholesale and monthly pop-up events.
