ABOUT RENEE BALL

I am a young professional interested primarily in the fields of social research and economic research. I graduated from the University of Toronto Scarborough in June 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts in City Studies and Public Policy. In my undergraduate studies, I learned many skills that are foundational to conducting policy research and policy development. I am a recent graduate of the Humber Research Analyst program. My current learning goals include improving my professional writing skills, learning the best practices of survey design, sharpening my knowledge of descriptive and inferential statistics, and learning the best ethical research practices. My professional research interests include sustainability, equity, transit, green infrastructure, education, and labor issues. I have 2 years of research and administrative work experience, and I am keen to continue honing and expanding my skills as a researcher. I currently work with data on Ontario’s K-12 education system at the database level.
